Nevada Falls 24-3 to Broncos - Recap
The battle between the Broncos and Wolf Pack didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Nevada was handed a 24-3 defeat on Friday at Clarence Mackay Stadium.
Even though Boise State won, nobody won at the betting window as the game was a push (based on the closing point spread of -21.0. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 51.0.
Sire Gaines rushed for 62 yards, while Dylan Riley added 34 yards in the win. Cameron Bates and Latrell Caples added 37 and 35 receiving yards respectively.
Herschel Turner rushed for 77 yards for Nevada, while Caleb Ramseur added 19 yards. Chubba Purdy threw for 3 yards for the Wolf Pack, while receivers Marshaun Brown and Jett Carpenter had 35 and 30 yards respectively.
Nevada lost the offensive yardage battle to Boise State 308-247 yards in Friday's game. Boise State had more first downs as that total ended up 22-15.
Boise State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:19-12:28 split in that important category.
Boise State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Fresno State. Nevada will aim to get back on the winning track at Utah State.
