Gamecocks Down Middle Tennessee 24-21 - Match Report

The Blue Raiders had no answer for Cam Cook on Wednesday as the Gamecocks rolled to a 24-21 win at Johnny (Red) Floyd Stadium.

The Gamecocks earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -4.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 54.0 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Cam Cook rushed for 105 yards, while Caden Creel added 31 yards in the win. Deondre Johnson and Brock Rechsteiner added 131 and 42 receiving yards respectively.

Middle Tennessee was outgained by Jacksonville State 358-319 yards in Wednesday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 18-17 by the Blue Raiders.

The time of possession battle favored Jacksonville State as their offense was on the field for 33:00, longer than the 27:00 of their opponents.

Next game, Jacksonville State takes its act on the road to face UTEP looking for another win. For Middle Tennessee, they head home to face FIU.
