UAB Blazers vs UCONN Huskies Wrap - UCONN Wins 38-19

UAB was unable to slow down Skyler Bell, who produced 149 receiving yards as the Huskies defeated the Blazers 38-19 on Saturday.

UCONN won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -10.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 62.0.

Cam Edwards rushed for 62 yards, while Terrence Smith added 35 yards in the win. Skyler Bell and John Neider added 149 and 55 receiving yards respectively.

Jevon Jackson rushed for 61 yards for UAB, while Solomon Beebe added 33 yards. Ryder Burton threw for 209 yards for the Blazers, while receivers Brandon Hawkins Jr. and Iverson Hooks had 89 and 28 yards respectively.

UCONN outgained UAB 374-372 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 23-20 by the Blazers.

The time of possession battle favored UAB as their offense was on the field for 31:09, longer than the 28:51 of their opponents.

UCONN looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Duke. UAB will aim to get back on the winning track at Rice.
