Bulldogs Down Florida 24-20 - Match Report
Zachariah Branch caught 10 passes for 112 yards against the Florida defense as Georgia handed the Gators a 24-20 loss on Saturday at EverBank Stadium.
The Bulldogs earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -7.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 50.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Chauncey Bowens rushed for 70 yards, while Nate Frazier added 45 yards in the win. Zachariah Branch and Dillon Bell added 112 and 43 receiving yards respectively.
Jadan Baugh rushed for 72 yards for Florida, while DJ Lagway added 24 yards. DJ Lagway threw for 166 yards for the Gators, while receivers Eugene Wilson III and J.Michael Sturdivant had 121 and 21 yards respectively.
Georgia outgained Florida 361-281 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-16 by the Bulldogs.
Georgia led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 32:25-27:35 split in that important category.
Next game, Georgia takes its act on the road to face Mississippi State looking for another win. For Florida, they head on the road to face Kentucky.
