Thundering Herd Fall 35-23 Against James Madison - Game Recap

The Dukes grabbed a Week 11 victory over the Thundering Herd on Saturday, winning 35-23 at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

The Dukes won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -13.5-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Wayne Knight rushed for 87 yards, while Alonza Barnett III added 32 yards in the win. Jaylan Sanchez and Wayne Knight added 86 and 79 receiving yards respectively.

Antwan Roberts rushed for 121 yards for Marshall, while Carlos Del Rio-Wilson added 73 yards. Carlos Del Rio-Wilson threw for 154 yards for the Thundering Herd, while receivers De'Andre Tamarez and Demarcus Lacey had 37 and 35 yards respectively.

Marshall outgained James Madison 414-409 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 25-20 by the Thundering Herd.

James Madison lost the time of possession battle 31:57-28:03, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

James Madison looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Appalachian State. Marshall will aim to get back on the winning track at Georgia State.
