Rice Defeats UAB 24-17 - Recap
The Owls grabbed a Week 11 victory over the Blazers on Saturday, winning 24-17 at Rice Stadium.
Rice won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +1.0-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 52.0.
Quinton Jackson rushed for 81 yards, while Chase Jenkins added 56 yards in the win. Tyson Thompson and Keenan Arcega-Whiteside added 33 and 8 receiving yards respectively.
Jevon Jackson rushed for 89 yards for UAB, while Solomon Beebe added 12 yards. Ryder Burton threw for 213 yards for the Blazers, while receivers Iverson Hooks and Corri Milliner had 89 and 47 yards respectively.
Rice led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:51-25:09 split in that important category.
