Baylor Falls 55-28 to Utes - Recap
Byrd Ficklin tore up the turf for 166 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Utes to a 55-28 win over the Bears at McLane Stadium.
The Utes were a -9.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 60.0.
Byrd Ficklin rushed for 166 yards, while Wayshawn Parker added 129 yards in the win. Dallen Bentley and JJ Buchanan added 48 and 41 receiving yards respectively.
Bryson Washington rushed for 97 yards for Baylor, while Caden Knighten added 22 yards. Sawyer Robertson threw for 430 yards for the Bears, while receivers Josh Cameron and Ashtyn Hawkins had 165 and 119 yards respectively.
Baylor outgained Utah 563-483 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 28-20 by the Bears.
Utah lost the time of possession battle 32:57-27:03, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Utah takes its act home to face Kansas State looking for another win. For Baylor, they head on the road to face Arizona.
