Recap - Cougars Defeat TCU 44-13
The battle between the Cougars and Horned Frogs didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as TCU was handed a 44-13 defeat on Saturday at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
BYU won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -3.0-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 52.5.
LJ Martin rushed for 88 yards, while Bear Bachmeier added 59 yards in the win. Parker Kingston and Carsen Ryan added 80 and 79 receiving yards respectively.
Jeremy Payne rushed for 55 yards for TCU, while Jon Denman added 45 yards. Josh Hoover threw for 183 yards for the Horned Frogs, while receivers Eric McAlister and Joseph Manjack IV had 107 and 40 yards respectively.
BYU outgained TCU 447-298 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 28-15 by the Cougars.
The time of possession battle favored BYU as their offense was on the field for 36:05, longer than the 23:55 of their opponents.
BYU heads into a Week 13 battle against Cincinnati. TCU, meanwhile, will have their next action against Houston.
