Wolverines vs Wildcats Final: 24-22 - Recap
Jordan Marshall scampered through the Northwestern defense for 142 yards as Michigan handed the Wildcats a 24-22 defeat on Saturday at Wrigley Field.
The Wolverines earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -10.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 42.0 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Jordan Marshall rushed for 142 yards, while Bryson Kuzdzal added 53 yards in the win. Andrew Marsh and Donaven McCulley added 189 and 59 receiving yards respectively.
Joseph Himon II rushed for 31 yards for Northwestern, while Caleb Komolafe added 31 yards. Preston Stone threw for 184 yards for the Wildcats, while receivers Hunter Welcing and Griffin Wilde had 81 and 51 yards respectively.
Northwestern was outgained by Michigan 496-245 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 25-11 by the Wolverines.
Michigan led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:06-26:53 split in that important category.
Michigan looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Maryland. Northwestern will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Minnesota.
