UCONN Defeats Air Force 26-16 - Recap
Cam Edwards scampered through the Air Force defense for 165 yards as UCONN handed the Falcons a 26-16 defeat on Saturday at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.
UCONN won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -7.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 64.5.
Cam Edwards rushed for 165 yards, while Oliver Lundberg Coleman added 10 yards in the win. Skyler Bell and Shamar Porter added 70 and 41 receiving yards respectively.
Owen Allen rushed for 122 yards for Air Force, while Kemper Hodges added 62 yards. Liam Szarka threw for 34 yards for the Falcons, while receivers Cade Harris and Jonah Dawson had 25 and 15 yards respectively.
UCONN lost the offensive yardage battle to Air Force 356-347 yards in Saturday's game. Air Force had more first downs as that total ended up 23-18.
Air Force led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 35:25-24:35 split in that important category.
Next game, UCONN takes its act on the road to face Florida Atlantic looking for another win. For Air Force, they head home to face New Mexico.
