Houston Defeats Tennessee 16-13 - Recap
Houston earned a 16-13 victory over Tennessee on Sunday in Week 11 action at Nissan Stadium.
Houston did not, however, defeat the Titans against the spread, which closed at -5.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 37.0.
Woody Marks rushed for 44 yards, while Nick Chubb added 17 yards in the win. Nico Collins and Jayden Higgins added 92 and 55 receiving yards respectively.
Cam Ward rushed for 33 yards for Tennessee, while Tony Pollard added 22 yards. Cam Ward threw for 194 yards for the Titans, while receivers Chig Okonkwo and Tyjae Spears had 56 and 31 yards respectively.
Tennessee was outgained by Houston 315-229 yards in Sunday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 20-14 by the Texans.
Tennessee lost the time of possession battle 31:03-28:57, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Houston takes its act home to face Buffalo looking for another win. For Tennessee, they head home to face Seattle.
