Vancouver Ices Calgary 4-3 - Recap

Vancouver needed a shootout to earn a 4-3 victory over Calgary on Wednesday in NHL action at Scotiabank Saddledome.

Bettors who backed the Canucks were rewarded as +127 underdogs at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 5.5.

Jake DeBrusk, Elias Pettersson, and Pius Suter each scored for the Canucks in the victory. Suter opened the scoring for Vancouver.

Kevin Lankinen stopped 20 of 23 Calgary shots in the victory.

Calgary got goals from Jonathan Huberdeau(2), and Nazem Kadri in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Dustin Wolf stopped 28 of 31 shots for the Flames, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Vancouver went 1-for-4, while the Flames were 1-for-3 with the man advantage.

Vancouver outshot Calgary 31-23 in the game.

Next game, Vancouver takes its act home to face Chicago looking for another win. For Calgary, they head home to face Colorado.
