Winnipeg Skates Past Calgary 5-3 - Recap

Winnipeg skated to a 5-3 victory over Calgary on Friday in NHL action at Canada Life Centre.

Winnipeg won as a -132 favorite, while Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 5.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Alex Iafallo, Jonathan Toews, Kyle Connor, Vladislav Namestnikov, and Gabriel Vilardi each scored for the Jets in the victory. Connor opened the scoring for Winnipeg.

Eric Comrie stopped 30 of 33 Calgary shots in the victory.

Mikael Backlund, Nazem Kadri, and Blake Coleman scored for the Flames, finding the net behind Eric Comrie.

Dustin Wolf stopped 27 of 31 shots for the Flames, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Winnipeg went 2-for-8, while the Flames were 1-for-6 with the man advantage.

Winnipeg lost the shots on goal battle to Calgary by a margin of 33-32.

Winnipeg looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Mammoth. The Flames will aim to get back on the winning track vs. New York.
