Las Vegas - You're probably wondering why a 14-17 team, USC, is favored over a 17-14 team, Washington. Well, here's why. Two words...Isaiah Collier. This kid, probably a top 10 pick in the upcoming NBA draft, was out for almost a month, and the Trojans lost six of seven. It took Collier a while to build back up to game speed, but the last three games, all wins, have been impressive. The hat trick started with a game AT Washington, where SC beat the Huskies 82-75, with Isaiah going OFF for 31 points. The next game was an 81-73 win against Arizona State, but Collier only had eight points. In the final game of the season, against the best team in the Pac 12, Arizona, SC stunned the Wildcats, 78-65, and Isaiah scored 16. Love to see a team on fire rolling into the conference tournament, and Southern Cal is the perfect example, which is the reason that my wallet is wide open.
