Las Vegas - Steve Alford is in the middle of his fourth year as the head coach of Nevada, and it is shaping up to be his best yet. Of course, Alford knows a little bit about winning with a lifetime coaching record of 649-341 (66%). Steve coached New Mexico, tonight's opponent, for six seasons, and he is pitching a PERFECTO against his old team. Since taking over in Reno, Alford is 6-0 against the Lobos.

Las Vegas - Buffalo comes roaring in on an eight game winning streak with home field advantage. Also note that the Bills have won 13 of the last 14 home playoff games. But Cincinnati comes steaming in on a nine game winning streak, so which way do we turn? Did anyone say money line? You know that we LOVE Joe Burrow and normally, would jump on Burreaux as a six point dog. But NOT today. And the main reason is the offensive line, or more accurately, the LACK of an offensive line.

Las Vegas - Kinda tough to wrap my head around Jacksonville QB Trevor Lawrence. He looked PATHETIC in the 1st half last week against the Chargers, throwing FOUR INTs. Then he was superman in the 2nd half, with THREE TD passes. These teams met back in November, IN Kansas City, and the Chiefs posted a 27-17 victory. Lawrence was 29 of 40 for 259 with 2 TDs and no INTs. All-World Patrick Mahomes was 26 of 35 for 331 yards with 4 TDs and 1 INT.

Las Vegas - College hoops is crazy and that's why we love it. Take a look at St. John's and you'll see the Red Storm losing five in a row, then coming back with wins over Butler and Connecticut. Then you look at Villanova, and the Wildcats have only two wins in the last seven games, and both came against Georgetown. And we're talking about a Hoya team that is on an 0-9 run and sitting at the bottom of the Big East with a 5-14 record.

Las Vegas - Lacing up the skates and stepping on to the ice in Philadelphia for a look at the Flyers vs. the Blackhawks. We're only in January and it has been quite a year for Philly. The Flyers suffered through an UGLY 10 game losing streak back in November, then lost nine of the next 13. Not sure what clicked on the West coast swing, but they won four in a row, and eight of the last 10. Chicago has also perked up a bit, winning four of the last five, but all those wins came at home.
