Las Vegas - Flying out West tonight for the Padres against the Reds. San Diego sends Sean Manaea to the hill and in his first two starts since coming over from Oakland, the kid has been close to lights out. He has started twice, pitched 13 innings, allowed only 2 earned runs (1.38 ERA) and posted 13 Ks. Cincy is sending Nick Lodolo to the hill and his first outing didn't go very well. The Guardians bounced him around for 7 hits and 5 earned runs in just 4 innings.

The New Yorkers come home after a solid road trip, winning five of the first seven games. One of those wins was courtesy of Chris Bassitt who just came over from the Oakland A's. Bassitt turned in a gorgeous 12-4 (3.15 ERA) mark last year for the A's, and started this season with six innings worth of bagels against the Nationals.

After sitting in last place, Vancouver fired coach Travis Greene and put Bruce Boudreau behind the bench. Double B took the job with a lifetime 567-302 record, so he knows how to win. His Canucks have a 28-21 mark since the takeover and are fighting for the 8th and final playoff spot. They need to jump over the Stars, Kings and Golden Knights, so it ain't gonna be easy.
