Las Vegas - IMPOSSIBLE to make an intelligent play on the Warriors/Celtics game tonight without knowing the extent of Steph Curry's injury. If anyone tells you different, RUN! Of course he is listed as probable and Golden State will do its CIA thing and not divulge any further info. So, we need to wait until warmups to decide how and how much to bet. Obviously, if Steph is OUT, the line jumps a few points and we UNLOAD on Boston at any price.

Las Vegas - Quick trip to Geneva where Switzerland will be hosting Spain in the UEFA Nations League. The Spanish side was held to a 2-2 draw the last time out against the Czech Republic and will be very anxious to pick up all three points with a win. La Roja will have their main starting 11 back while the Swiss will be without arguably their best player, centre-back Fabian Schar. Gonna ask Spain to pay for my gorgeous paella dinner.

Las Vegas - If you know of anyone that is pitching better than Miami's Sandy Alcantara, PLZ yell at me. Alcantara got off to a slow start, maybe because he's on a lousy team, with only two wins in his first six outings. But since a start at Arizona on May 11, Sandy has been LIGHTS OUT! He has started five times, won four, and allowed only three earned runs over 39 innings for a SPECTACULAR 0.69 ERA! You can throw in 40 Ks, yea, FORTY, over that 39 inning stretch.

Las Vegas - Taking a peek at the Reds with Graham Ashcraft over the D'backs. It's a small sample size, but since coming up to Cincinnati, Ashcraft has not lost a game (2-0) and allowed only three earned runs over 17 innings for a skinny 1.53 ERA. Arizona did not announce a starting pitcher as we went to press, and as long as it's not either of the Zs, Zach Davies or Zac Gallen, we're all in on Red!

Las Vegas - Was thinking about skating on to the NHL ice up in Edmonton tonight and wondering if the Oilers could avoid the broom. My answer is, probably not. Understand that the Avalanche will be without one of their main pieces, Nazem Kadri, and, probably goalie Darcy Kuemper. But this club is SO deep, and SO talented, that it should not be a major problem.
