Las Vegas - Paul Quantrill stepped on to the MLB stage back in 1992 with the Red Sox and said goodbye in 2005 after a cup of coffee with the Marlins. He compiled a 68-78 lifetime record, and also had a few kids along the way. One of 'em, Cal, pitches for the Guardians and is enjoying a solid year with a 9-5 record and a 3.67 ERA. He has not lost a game since July 11 (5-0) and his last two outings have been nothing but BAGELS for 13 innings.

Las Vegas - Just looked at the total for the White Sox/Astros game and it's listed at 7.0 runs. Dylan Cease (1.96 ERA) faces Justin Verlander (1.85 ERA). Add 'em both together and they don't even equal four. So, ya gotta go low right? Thinking about it, but scrolled back to Verlander's start against the Sox back on June 19, in Houston, and it was one of only two bad outings all season. Justin was hammered pretty good, giving up 9 hits and 4 earned runs in just 3 innings of work.
