paul and cal

Las Vegas - Paul Quantrill stepped on to the MLB stage back in 1992 with the Red Sox and said goodbye in 2005 after a cup of coffee with the Marlins. He compiled a 68-78 lifetime record, and also had a few kids along the way. One of 'em, Cal, pitches for the Guardians and is enjoying a solid year with a 9-5 record and a 3.67 ERA. He has not lost a game since July 11 (5-0) and his last two outings have been nothing but BAGELS for 13 innings. Certainly one of the reasons that Cleveland has won eight of the last 10 (not including last night). He will face Daniel Norris who has not won a game this season for either the Cubs, his last team, or the Tigers. Liking the Guardians new logo and expecting to win enough money tonight to get at least a hat and a t-shirt.
