Las Vegas - Had a few words about the Hawaii Bowl but it's not gonna happen...

Las Vegas - After the 49ers drafted Trey Lance with the third overall pick, everyone was shoving Jimmy Garoppolo out the door. Well, Lance is holding the clipboard while Jimmy G is rowing the boat. He is hitting on 67.4% of his passes and has gobbled up 3,172 air yards, with 18 TDs and 8 INTs. Garoppolo also leads the NFL in both yards per pass attempt (8.5) and yards per completion (12.6).

Las Vegas - My dad was Army, my heart is Army, but my wallet says, WAIT a minute. The Black Knights jumped up to a -6.5 point favorite after it was announced that Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz named freshman QB Brady Cook as the starter, replacing Connor Bazelak. It's a small sample size, but Cook hit on 19 of 24 throws for 107 yards and a TD this season.

Las Vegas - Cowboys & Potatoes. Gotta LOVE these wacky early bowl games. Wyoming (-3) takes on Kent State up in Boise in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Liking the Cowboys here for a few reasons. Wyoming lives in the Mountain West Conference and they have been PERFECT so far, with a 2-0 record in the early bowls (Fresno State over Utep and Utah State over Oregon State).

Las Vegas - Can not tell you with a straight face that we have a solid feeling for either NFL game today. The COVID-19/injury lists are EXTENSIVE for all four teams, and not gonna ask you to open the wallet. And if your head is spinning because the Browns/Raiders game keeps changing favorites, so is mine. Vegas is now -3 with the Baker officially out, and we're still gonna take a pass on both games.
