Las Vegas - Jake Arrieta is pitching for San Diego. Adbert Alzolay is on the DL. So, the Cubs are desperate for a starting pitcher and will be calling up Adrian Sampson from their Triple A club in Iowa. Talk about desperate. Sampson was 6-9 for the Texas Rangers in 2018 and 2019, then pitched in South Korea last season for the Lotte Giants. His problems continued in the KBO, suffering another losing record, 9-12, and a PHAT 5.40 ERA. He also allowed 167 hits in just 130 innings.

Las Vegas - If you're wondering why the Raiders are -7 points over the Rams this Saturday, it looks like Jon Gruden wants to ROLL! If you didn't catch the Vegas game against the Seahawks, Gruden left Nathan Peterman in for the ENTIRE game! Don't think I've seen that in a week one exhibition game in like, FOREVER! Peterman was pretty sharp, completing 29 of 39 for 246 yards, and LV gobbled up 158 yards on the ground.

Las Vegas - Apparently, someone, or many someones, are buying the Colts. Indy opened at -1.5 points over the Panthers and the spread has doubled to -3. If you're interested, the Colts depth chart lists Jacob Eason, Sam Ehlinger, Jalen Morton and Brett Hundley. However, there is no guarantee that they will play in that particular order.
