Las Vegas - Atlanta has been part of the post season action since 2018 but it ain't gonna happen this year. The Braves have been hit with a ton of injuries and there have not been many bright spots. They lost 4/5 of their starting rotation, so some of the kids have had to step up. One of those kids is Hurston Waldrep. Yea, Hurston. He was down at Atlanta's Triple A team, the Gwinnett Stripers, and was not really killing it. Waldrep was 7-8 at Gwinnett with a 4.42 ERA. But as soon as he jumped into the rotation, his right arm went next level. In three starts, Waldrep has allowed only two earned runs over 17 2/3 innings for a skinny little 1.02 ERA. Throw in 17 Ks and the Braves recent hot streak, winning eight of the last 10 (not including last night), and you can see why the Bank of Benj is open for business in the ATL.
