Las Vegas - Lemme give you some numbers. Obviously, we AIN'T gonna look at the Yankees, so off to Motown. Detroit will send Jack Flaherty to the hill and his stats have been underwhelming. He posted an 8-15 record with a 4.64 ERA. Flaherty faced Seattle once this season, at home, and gave up two runs over five innings. Mariners starter Logan Gilbert saw the Tigers twice during the regular season and gave up three earned runs over 10 innings with 19 Ks. Not thrilled with either side, so it's off to the ice baby.

Gotta lace up the skates on the NHL's opening night and take a look at the Rangers/Penguins game. After 10 years and two Stanley Cups, Mike Sullivan and the Pens agreed to part ways. He was hired by the Rangers on May 2. And in a delicious twist, he gets to coach against Pittsburgh in the opener. The Penguins were solid in the preseason, posting a 5-1-1 record, while the Rangers were just 2-3-1. But as everyone knows, the preseason doesn't mean a thing. Gonna tickle the NYR in the home opener.
