balt and Hawaii

----------------------------------------------------
Las Vegas - Baltimore ain't gonna make it to the playoffs but there are some nice pieces in place. And the Orioles have been on a sweet run, winning six of the last eight (not including last night). Dean Kremer is a .500 pitcher this season (9-9), but his last two starts have been rock solid. Kremer has allowed just one earned run over 15 innings for an invisible 0.60 ERA. Throw in 13 Ks and you can see why the Bank of Benj is open at Camden yards. And I'll take some Kreme(r) with my coffee plz.
And for those of you who were not at my window on Thursday, lemme run back the college football pick. You're gonna have to stay up late and we're looking at Hawaii -2.5 points over Stanford tonight. The Rainbow Warriors start year number four with head coach Timmy Chang at the X & O blackboard. If you're not familiar with Chang, he had a cup of coffee in the NFL with Eagles, Lions and Cards, but his claim to fame was as the QB at Hawaii back in 2000-2004. Timmy could sling it and finished his college career with 17,702 yards and 117 TDs. His Warriors closed last season strong, covering four of the last five. But the stat that caught my eye is, Hawaii comes into this game riding an 8-0 cover streak at home. Yea, EIGHT & OH! They hook a Stanford team that has been truly ugly that last four years, posting a 3-9 straight up record in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Look for Hawaii sophomore QB Micah Alejado to light it up through the air waves like he did in the final game of the 2024 season, hitting on 37 of 57 for 469 yards and FIVE TDs. The Honolulu branch of the Bank of Benj in Hawaii is wide open. Aloha baby!
