Las Vegas - Looks like the Marlins are ALL IN on a playoff run. They're sitting at 55-48, just a half game out of a Wild Card spot (not including last night). And they added one more high-leverage option to the bullpen by acquiring Mets closer David Robertson. The veteran Robertson has been rock solid in 2023, going 14/17 in save opportunities, with a 2.05 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP in 40 appearances. They also got Johnny Cueto back after the talented righty missed over three months. Cueto's first outing back in the rotation was a beauty, with 6 innings of work, 1 earned run, only 2 hits allowed and 8 Ks. Going fishing this afternoon, so gimme the Marlins for the money.
Gonna take the money that we win with Miami and get ready for a DELICIOUS title fight tonight in Vegas. It'll be Terence Crawford (39-0) vs. Errol Spence (28-0) for the IBF/WBA/WBC and WBO titles. Basically, the UNDISPUTED king of the division. Crawford is a -$145 favorite with Spence a +$125 underdog. It's almost impossible to handicap this fight because both guys are exceptional. Lean to Bud Crawford, but will take a pass on picking the winner, and dip into the Over/Under total rounds prop. The O/U is sitting at 10.5 rounds, with the Over at -$260 and the Under at +$200. After looking at the records, the numbers tell me that 30 of Crawford's 39 wins have come by KO, while 22 of Spence's 28 Ws have been via KO. Obviously, both guys pack dynamite in each hand. This one AIN'T going the distance, and we're all over the Under for the money!

For your wagering pleasure, here is your spread stat of the day. Keeping Shohei Ohtani appears to be the right move for the Angels. They have won eight of the last nine, and even without Mike Trout, the bats have started to get loud. How loud? The Halos have gone OVER in 12 of the last 16 games (EckSTATS do not include last night's games).
