Las Vegas - Looking at the Vikings/Bears NFC North matchup and gotta give you some numbers from the two games last season. In the first matchup in Chicago, the Vikings (-3) posted a 30-27 win which was a push and the Over/Under total which was listed at 39.5 went way high. In the rematch at Minnesota, the Vikings (-7) posted 30-12 W, an easy cover but the O/U total of 43.5 turned into an Under. Minny had Sam Darnold at QB for both games and his numbers were superb. He was 46 of 74 for 561 yards with 3 TDs and 1 INT. But Sam is gone and J.J. McCarthy will get his first start at QB after missing all of the 2024 season. The other arm, Chicago's Caleb Willaims, was pretty solid against the Purple defense last season, hitting on 50 of 78 for 531 yards with 3 TDs and zero INTs. He also has legs and gobbled up 489 yards on the ground. The Bears gave Matt Eberflus the pink slip after an ugly 5-12 record in 2024 and hired Ben Johnson from Detroit. Johnson was the offensive coordinator for the Lions last season and in two games against the Brian Flores coached Minnesota defense, Detroit put 62 points on the board. The Bears have upgraded the offensive line and have some nice weapons on the wings including WR Rome Odunze, D.J. Moore and TE Colston Loveland out of Michigan. Not gonna go crazy, but will throw a few pennies at DA Bears.
