Las Vegas - Updated odds to win the Heisman Trophy and it AIN'T a QB at the top of the list. Alabama WR Devonta Smith is now the betting favorite at -$175, and two other teammates are in the Top 5. 'Bama QB Mac Jones
is listed at +$140, Trevor Lawrence +$1000, with Najee Harris and Kyle Trask both at +$2500. Not totally grasping the fact that Smith is the favorite after the historic season that Jones put together. Granted Devonta has been a FORCE,
with 98 catches for 1,511 yards and 18 touchdowns. But man, Mac the Knife has done it ALL! In the SEC Championship Game against Florida, he completed 33-of-43 passes for 418 yards and FIVE TDs. On the season, he gobbled up 3,739 yards with 32 touchdowns and only four interceptions. If I were voting, and I'm not, it would be co-Heisman winners with Mac and Devonta each getting an arm of the trophy. But my money is gonna be on Mr. Jones. Two bowl games on the board today, and we're gonna tickle Nevada +3 points against Tulane in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. The Wolfpack from Reno played in this game last year and lost to Ohio U. 30-21. We believe that they'll be able to reverse that decision because the Green Wave is hurting up front. During the season, Tulane's D led the American Athletic Conference with 36 sacks, but they'll be missing Patrick Johnson (10 sacks), Cameron Sample (5 sacks) and nose tackle DeAndre Williams. Gimme the Pack!

Also a light play to UCF +7 points over BYU. Both teams can score like crazy and both teams have amazing QBs. You have probably heard some chatter about BYU's Zach Wilson, and rightly so. He had a great year and is #5 on the QB stat chart. Of course, #1 Kyle Trask and #2 Mac Jones are very familiar. Any guess on #3? It's Dillon Gabriel. Any guess where he plays? You're way ahead of me. It's the University of Central Florida. Expecting both teams to score in bunches, and keep the score close, which is why +7 points looks like a tasty play.
