Las Vegas - Gonna start talking NFL and before we get to specific games, gotta throw an Over/Under season win total bet your way. Gimme the New York Jets OVER 5.5 wins. Why? This looks like we're taking candy from a baby/bookie. The Jets were 5-12 last season and had issues at QB with FORTY YEAR OLD Aaron Rodgers. They said goodbye to Aaron and picked up Justin Fields. After playing for a lousy Bears team the first three years in the league, Fields featured in 10 games for the Steelers in 2024. His passing numbers were not off the chain but not too shabby, completing 106 of 161 (65.8%) for 1,106 yards with 5 TDs and only 1 INT. What we love about the New Yorkers this season is what Fields brings to the table with his legs. While the aging Rodgers was never a threat to run, Fields is very dangerous when the pocket breaks down. He gobbled up 420 yards on the ground in his first season in Chicago, 1,143 yards in year two and 657 yards in year three. In 10 games with Pittsburgh last season, Justin rumbled for 289 yards. And now he has his superstar former teammate from Ohio State, Garrett Wilson on the field. He has a new offensive coordinator, Tanner Engstrand, who guided the Lions passing attack (4,718) to the second best yardage mark in the NFL last season, just behind the Bengals (4,918). The Jets have had a TOP FIVE defense the last three years and have the 8th easiest schedule. They won five games last season and should be able to squeeze out at least one more win with new head coach Aaron Glenn leading the way. SIX wins for the NYJ and you can BOOK IT BABY!
