Las Vegas - If you have not looked at Matt Ruhle's coaching career, lemme throw some numbers at you. Ruhle started his head coaching career at Temple in 2013, taking over a team that was 4-7. The Owls posted an ugly 2-10 record as Ruhle cleaned house in his first season and brought in a brand new squad. Temple was 6-6 in the second year and improved to 10-4 in Ruhle's third season. Then he left for Baylor. The Bears were 1-11 in his first year, 7-6 in his second year and 11-3 in his third season. Ruhle left for the NFL and the Carolina Panthers and it was three straight losing seasons before getting the pink slip. Ruhle rolled back to the college ranks at Nebraska with a 5-7 record in 2023 and a 7-6 record in 2024. Expecting BIG things from the 'Huskers this season with Dylan Raiola leading the charge at QB. If you're not familiar with Raiola, he was a consensus top 10 recruit in the 2024 class and had a cup of coffee with Ohio State and Georgia before committing to Nebraska. Dylan was pretty good last season but not lights out. He completed 275 of 410 (67.1%) for 2,819 yards with 13 TDs and 11 INTs. Not thrilled laying seven points on the road (the game is at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City), but will drop some cash on
the Cornhuskers on the money line (around -$230), because with Ruhle, the rule is, the third season is a CHARM.
