Las Vegas - If the Mets wanna have any shot at the National League East crown, they'll need to get out the broom in Philadelphia. Gonna be very tough to sweep with Ranger Suarez on the hill for the Phillies. Suarez has been lockdown the last three times out, throwing 18 innings and allowing only 1 earned run with 17 Ks. The other arm, New York's Sean Manaea, has not had a solid start since July 29. Here are the numbers. We're talking about 27 innings, 36 hits and 24 earned runs. Ouch. My calculator tells me that's a ginormous 8.00 ERA. And in a start in New York at the end of August against Philadelphia, Manaea was rocked for 6 hits and 2 earned runs in just 4 innings. The Phils have THE BEST home record in MLB with 45-23 mark, while the Mets are an ugly 31-40 on the road. Gonna ring the Liberty Bell and put a nice deposit into the Bank of Benj.

Just found out that the Phillies placed shortstop Trea Turner and third baseman Alec Bohm on the 10-day injured list. Still on the Phils because of the pitching matchup, but gonna slice the bet by two thirds.
