coach prime

----------------------------------------------------
Las Vegas - Deion Sanders is all of Primetime but Houston coach Willie Fritz is a stone cold winner. Fritz has won at every stop along the way as a head coach. He was 97-47 at Central Missouri, 40-15 at Sam Houston State, 17-7 at Georgia Southern and 54-47 at Tulane. And in his last two years down in New Orleans, the Green Wave were 23-4. Last season was a mess, mostly inherited from Dana Holgorsen and Houston finished at 4-8. The Cougars are off to a 2-0 start with a new OC, new DC and new QB, Conner Weigman, a five-star recruit from Texas A&M. The Coogs also found a tough as nails RB in Dean Connors, who rumbled for 132 yards on 13 carries against Rice last week. Connors gobbled up 771 yards in 2023, 780 yards in 2024 and looks to be on pace for a 1,000 yard effort this season. The Buffaloes are not the same outfit without QB Shedeur Sanders and there are question marks on the defensive side of the ball. Forget about the 31-7 win at home against Delaware last week, because the Fightin' Blue Hens didn't have much fight. Instead, we direct your attention to the opener against a decent but not great Georgia Tech team, which turned into a 27-20 loss, AT HOME. The Buffs were an absolute disaster against the run, which is why the Yellow Jackets went nuts on the ground and ate up 320 yards. Coach Prime might have a few surprises up his sleeve, and while we still like Houston, it'll be Coogs on the money line for this guy.
