Las Vegas - Can the Tigers stop the bleeding or will the Guardians stun the world with a comeback for the ages to win the American League Central crown? Cleveland was 12.5 games behind Detroit in August and lost their closer Emmanuel Clase as well as starter Luis Ortiz. Both were placed on non-disciplinary paid leave as part of MLB's investigation into sports betting. So get out the golf clubs right? No chance for these guys right? Not so fast. The Guardians have put together an astounding run, winning 10 of the last 11 games, while the Tigers have dropped nine of the last 10. Going into last night's game, there was just one game separating the teams. Cleveland will send Tanner Bibee to the hill and his last two starts (15 innings, 1 earned run, 18 Ks) have been lights out. Bibee has also been lights out in two starts against the Tigers, winning both and allowing just one earned run over 13 innings with 16 Ks in his pocket. Gimme the Guardians for the money.
