Las Vegas - A little early baseball in Milwaukee where we're still waiting to confirm the Cubs starter. Could be Colin Rea or Javier Assad. Don't really care who starts for Chicago because Freddy Peralta is on the bump for the Brew Crew and he has been a monster the last two months. What does that look like? In nine starts he was 5-0 and allowed nine earned runs over 46 innings for a 1.76 ERA. His last start against the Cubbies was a gem (6 innings, 1 hit, 0 earned runs and 6 Ks), so I'll ride Freddy to the Bank of Benj for a nice deposit.

Riddle me this Batman. Houston is 4-0, Houston is at home, and Houston is an 11 point underdog to Texas Tech. What? So, obviously, we looked a little closer and found some very interesting stuff. The Cougars beat Stephen F. Austin 37-0, Rice 35-9, Colorado 36-20 and Oregon State 27-24. It was the last game that caught my attention. Texas Tech, also 4-0, played Oregon State as well and CRUSHED the Beavers 45-14. Tech beat a really good Utah team the last time out, AT Salt Lake City, 34-10, and had a week off to prepare for this intrastate rivalry at Houston. Not thrilled laying 11 on the road, but do like Tech, so it's the Red Raiders for the money, on the money line.
