Las Vegas - Starting the day in Baltimore and gotta follow the money. We talked about the HUMUNGOUS line move and if you were not in the Ecks & Bacon window on Thursday, this was the flow. The Ravens opened around -9.5 points over the Texans. Then Lamar Jackson was injured and there was a FLOOD of Houston money that didn't really slow down until late Thursday. Houston is now -1.5 and that is a YO ELEVEN POINT line move. No doubt Lamar is fabulous, but don't think he is worth 11 points. Maybe Jackson is worth six/seven points, but the injuries on the defensive side have affected the spread as well. Who? The best of the best. Marlon Humphrey (All-Pro), Roquan Smith (All-Pro), Nnamdi Madubuike (Pro Bowl), Kyle Van Noy (Pro Bowl) and Nate Wiggins. Now we find out that Kyle Hamilton (All-Pro) and Ronnie Stanley (All-Pro) are both questionable. Nothing against Baltimore backup QB Cooper Rush, but he is gonna face the #1 scoring defense in the NFL. The Texans have given up 51 points in four games and the next closest teams are the Broncos (67 points) and Seahawks (67 points). Gimme C.J. Stroud and the kids from Texas.
Then we'll swing up to Buffalo for the late-late AFC East game between the Bills and Patriots. Buffalo opened up -10 points over New England but the line has dropped to -8.5. Not sure about laying the snowman and a hook but will spend some cash on the money line. Why lay a big price? Maybe because the Buffs have won FIFTEEN in a row at home. Gotta circle the wagons and buy the Bills.
