Las Vegas - Desperate times make for desperate teams. The Lakers are DESPERATE! A loss tonight would send them plunging into an 0-3 hole, and NO TEAM in the HISTORY of the NBA has EVER come back from an 0-3 hole. Thinking about betting quarter by quarter in this spot, because we've noticed some very interesting numbers. In the close out game at home against the Warriors, the Lakers won the 1st quarter 31-26. They also won the 2nd quarter 25-20, which gives them a 10 point lead at the half. Gimme the Lake Show -2.5 to win the 1st Q, and if they lose, we'll drop another handful of chips on L.A. in the 2nd
Q.

For your wagering pleasure, here is your spread stat of the day. The Lakers come back home in an 0-2 hole, but there is a glimmer of hope. The Purple & Gold have ripped off NINE straight wins at the Crypto.com Arena, while the Nuggets have dropped seven of the last nine on the road.

Once again, we hand over this space to our PRIMO horse guy, Martin Calia ...Talk to us Marty...

It's been two weeks since the Kentucky Derby and winning horse Mage takes on seven rivals in the Preakness Stakes. The second jewel of the Triple Crown races will be run at Pimlico racetrack in Maryland. Mage will be odds on to capture the race and head on to Belmont Park to try to become the 14th Triple Crown winner. Lets look at the field. National Treasure is trained by Bob Baffert which in anybody's book is a plus. But Treasure hasn't won a race longer than 6 furlongs and that was last year in his first start! The positives are the last two workouts which were very fast and he breaks from the one post. I think jockey Johnny V will send National Treasure to the lead and try to go gate to wire. For a horse that doesn't have a distance win, I can't see him winning. Use underneath in exacta, trifecta, and supers. Chase the Chaos has never won on dirt so he is a throw out. CoffeewithChris has only a mile win under his belt, another throw out. Red Route One did win his last race at a mile and an eighth at Oaklawn Park, but raced on the medication known as Lasix, which is not allowed in stakes races. Perform also won his last race at Laurel at a mile and an eighth in closing fashion, albeit in a slow time. Also use underneath. The horse that I think will run well is Blazing Sevens. He finished third in the Blue Grass Stakes and his connections skipped the Derby to prep for this race. He is the only other horse in the field with a Grade 1 win besides Mage. Speaking of the Derby winner, no doubt he will be odds on to win this race. He is the only horse from the 18 Derby starters running in the second leg of the Triple Crown. So how do we bet the race ? I'm hoping for 4/5 on #3 Mage. That will be a gift. So it's a Benjamin on #3 Mage to win and play $20 exactas, 3 over the 1,5,6,7. I'll also play the trifecta and superfecta using the same combination, 3 over 1,5,6,7.
Good luck!
