Las Vegas - It's a day early, but gotta jump on a World Cup match. Kick it off with Uruguay over South Korea on Thursday. Uruguay Coach Diego Alonso will look to Luis Suarez to lead the charge for La Celeste, along with Darwin Nunez (Liverpool), Edinson Cavani (Valencia) and Maxi Gomez (Trabzonspor). Sadly, South Korea's super star, Son Heung-min (Tottenham), is listed as questionable for the Tigers of Asia.

Las Vegas - Not really thrilled with anything on the NBA board with so many KEY injuries (Joel Embiid, Ja Morant, Nikola Jokic), so that's a no fly zone. Moving over to the ice, just took a look at the Buffalo Sabres recent work, and OH MY. As in OH & EIGHT since the beginning of November. Montreal has been skating better, winning three of the last four at home, so we'll drop a few loonies on le Club de hockey Canadien.

Las Vegas - HOLA. We fly down to Mexico tonight where the 49ers hook up with the Cardinals. Before we get to all the injuries, lets talk ALTITUDE! The Estadio Azteca in Mexico City is approximately 7,300 feet high and will be an issue with both teams. The Niners took their road show to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs for the week, where the altitude is almost 6,700 feet above sea level. Well done coach Kyle Shanahan.

Las Vegas - Going in opposite directions. That's a perfect description of the Bengals and Steelers. These two AFC North rivals hooked up in the season opener, and Pittsburgh posted a 23-20 OT win at Cincinnati. It was THE WORST game of Joe Burrow's career. He was sacked SEVEN times and threw FOUR interceptions. After another loss, Cincy has now won five of its last seven straight up, and has covered six. They also had a week off to prepare for the Steelers.

Las Vegas - What am I missing? When the lines opened this past Sunday night, Army came out as a 10 point favorite over Connecticut. Lemme give you a little UConn history over the last four years. Start with 2018 and an 1-11 record, followed by 2-10 in 2019, and THANKFULLY, the 2020 season was canceled due to Covid.
