Las Vegas - Northern Iowa vs. Drake is the first game up today on the Missouri Valley Conference slate, and we're on the Panthers from Cedar Falls. Northern doesn't get much love, much ink, or much chatter from the talking heads, but these kids can play. Don't believe me, just ask Ken Pomeroy, or KenPom as he is known around the country. His ratings are a great measuring stick, and he has Northern Iowa at #38 in the country, with a 15.30 rating. Obviously, you wanna know where Drake is.

Las Vegas - So, YUGE edge for UNLV playing in the Mountain West Conference Tournament. Why? For those that go to sleep early in the Eastern time zone, the Runnin' Rebels get to play on their HOME FLOOR! Yup, the same home floor where the Rebs just beat Boise State, 76-66 last Wednesday. That made it a 5-0 run for UNLV, straight up and against the spread. Boise's last six games turned into three wins and three losses.

Las Vegas - Staying right here in Vegas for the first round of the Mountain West Conference Tournament, and gonna grab Wyoming +11 points against Colorado State. The Rams at 20-11 overall, on paper, are clearly the better team in this matchup with the Cowboys, who limp in at 7-23. So, why in the world try Wyoming? These Cowboys never give up. They have covered five in a row, seven of the last eight and own a money-making 13-5 record as an underdog.

Las Vegas - PENNIES RULE...AGAIN!!! You think sports betting is lucrative for the casinos??? NAH!!! According to the Nevada Gaming Control Board, sports took in $20 million in January. That was actually low man at the party. The BIG MAN was once again the little guy, pennies. Yup, penny slots brought back a STAGGERING $285.9 million! FREAKIN' PENNIES!!! Didn't know there were that many pennies left in the country.

Las Vegas - Looking at Baylor to pull out the broom and sweep the season series with Texas Tech. The Bears posted a 57-52 win back in January at Lubbock. Now they get the Red Raiders in Waco, and should be able to handle the heat in their final home game of the season. Baylor has lost three games so far this year. After a loss to Texas State, the Bears came back with a 72-63 win the next time out. After a loss to Kansas, they roared back with an 85-66 win in the next game.
