Las Vegas - Jeff Capel sat on Coach K's left for like seven years as the assistant head coach, so they know each other pretty well. Capel has been a solid head coach, not Hall of Fame worthy like his mentor. He was 79-41 at Old Dominion, 96-69 at Oklahoma and is sitting at 36-38 with Pittsburgh. Doesn't sound like a super run, but this season, the Panthers are 7-2 and have just completed back-to-back wins over Syracuse.
