Las Vegas - OH & THREE! That was Kansas City's record in the preseason. Does it matter? Does Andy Reid know how to get his team ready for game one? Lemme throw some numbers at you and see what you think. With Andy on the headset since 2013, the Chiefs have a 10-2 straight up record in the season opener. The numbers against the spread are not quite as good but still plus money, with Kaycee covering eight of 12. And we've heard that a bunch of people are handicapping the Super Bowl hangover. Okay, but lemme take you back to 2020. Kansas City's only Super loss with Reid came against Tom Brady and Tampa Bay. They opened the next season with a 33-29 win over the Browns. Didn't cover the -5.5 point spread, but they did get the W. Always problematic getting a read on the opening week and we do like what Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert have brought to the table in Los Angeles. However, we're still on the Chiefs to win, but expecting a really, really close game, and will drop a few pennies on the money line (-$165) instead of laying a field goal.
Taking an Uber, or maybe a Waymo to Prop City and looking toward the Chargers defense for the first taste. Joey Bosa is gone and that leaves a gaping hole on the defensive line, but Khalil Mack is back and primed for a monster start to the season. That's why we're gonna take Mack to record a sack at around +$150.
But our best BET of the night goes to Kaycee TE Noah Gray OVER 1.5 receptions. In the first game against the Chargers last season, Gray snagged four balls from Patrick Mahomes and then in the rematch, he locked on to four more. Since the Over/Under is only 1.5, we're all over the OVER!
